Health & Safety FAQ
The safety of our SkyRise Chicago participants is paramount. Additionally, as a hospital, it is our top priority to protect the health and wellness of our patients, many of whom have the most severe, complex conditions.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and to ensure a safe event for all, we will be implementing the following protocols at SkyRise 2021:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, which may be uploaded here. (Note: participants must be at least two weeks out from the final dose in their vaccine regimen.)
Or proof of a negative COVID-19 test collected within 72 hours of the event (between Nov. 4-7).
Additionally, all climbers will be required to wear a mask at all times while in the Willis Tower. Extra masks will be available for participants as needed.
Climbers will not be able to wear gloves as they are a barrier to hand hygiene.
On the morning of SkyRise, receipt of COVID-19 vaccine card or negative test will be confirmed for all climbers at check-in, before they begin the climb. Please note that this protocol is required for the SkyRise Chicago event only and not otherwise required for Willis Tower/Skydeck entry at another date/time. For the most up-to-date information on visiting the Skydeck, please visit this website.
- Vaccination cards and negative tests also may be presented at packet pick up times.
- If you do not wish to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test, we invite you to participate virtually.
- For additional questions around these protocols or the safety of the event, please email [email protected].
Shirley Ryan AbilityLab will follow any and all mandates issued by the City of Chicago to ensure safety. Check our website closer to the event for any updated guidance.
